Environmental tests allow the simulation of different
components of a vehicle at different temperatures. For vehicle horn, these
tests must be performed under the strictest tests of durability over time,
where a mechanical part simulates the pressure that a hand would perform during
a long period of time in some few days. The thermal test chamber will be
responsible for simulating the temperatures that the horn will suffer both in
cold and in heat, even in the most extreme conditions. The chamber should be
integrated with the test bench both mechanically (design) and in software so
that the operation of both elements together.
The thermal test chamber, CETM-40/2200e is prepared to condition 3 steering wheels with the
mechanical elements at the same time. It has 3 independent shelves to be able
to extract each steering wheel individually in a comfortable, fast and simple
way. Its cold group is located on a separate bench, to minimize the heat and
noise emitted by it. Its control will communicate with the control of the
mechanical actuator to be able to coordinate both controls in a synergistic
manner.
