In the automotive sector, the quality and durability of interior components must be guaranteed even when the vehicle is exposed to extreme environmental conditions. Therefore, all elements located in the passenger compartment—such as trim, electronic modules, panels, plastics, or decorative elements—must undergo tests that reproduce the most severe climatic agents in order to evaluate their stability, resistance, and long-term performance.
Among the most widely used procedures are the VW PV 1200 and VW PV 2005-A standards, which establish accelerated climate stress cycles designed to intensively simulate abrupt changes in temperature and humidity, as well as prolonged exposure to critical environments. These cycles include phases in which the water content in the air must be kept strictly limited, requiring very precise climate control to ensure the reproducibility and reliability of the test.
The DYCOMETAL CCK-40/1000T-3 is a climate testing chamber with a volume suitable for testing medium-sized parts. With a temperature range of -40°C to +150°C and relative humidity control between 10% and 98%, it allows for most automotive testing. All of this is controlled via a 7” touchscreen interface and associated logging software. For more information, please
