CLIMATIC TESTING FOR BALLISTIC PERFORMANCE OF BALLISTIC VESTS. CCK-20/1000T CLIMATIC CHAMBER

 A client wanted to evaluate the ballistic performance of bulletproof vests over time according to NIJ Standard-0101.06. To do this, they planned to acquire a Tumbler drum unit to combine with a climatic chamber that met the climatic and environmental requirements for the various testing procedures for flexible (soft) and rigid (hard) armor.

The required conditions were:
馃憠 Adequate interior volume to accommodate the Tumbler drum.
馃憠 Reinforced floor to support the weight of the Tumbler drum.
馃憠 Compliance with the environmental conditions specified in NIJ Standard-0101.06.
馃憠 Extended temperature range for conditioning rigid armor (ballistic plates), Phase 2 cold cycle.
馃憠 Communication capability with the external drum control system.

OUR SOLUTION: The CCK-20/1000T climate test chamber, adapted in its internal dimensions to the drum's dimensions. The chamber features a front opening of over 180潞, allowing access to the test area. Its extended range allows for testing both flexible armor and rigid shielding (phase 1 and phase 2 cold cycle). The system includes an Ethernet port as well as communication signals with the customer's remote control system for the Tumbler drum. All of this is controlled by the advanced control system based on a 7” touchscreen panel.

HOW TO TEST EXTERNAL THERMAL INSULATION SYSTEMS (ETICS)? CCK-25/6800T CLIMATIC CHAMBER

 Our client, a renowned Spanish Certification Center for construction materials, already had several pieces of equipment for performing validation and certification tests on External Thermal Insulation Systems (ETICS). However, due to the workload of the existing equipment, they needed an additional system to increase their validation capacity.

The requirements they were looking for were:
馃憠 Compliance with European guidelines EAD 040083-00-0404.
馃憠 Equipment identical to the previously supplied systems.
馃憠 Ability to test two samples in parallel.
馃憠 Enclosures for both sides of the chamber for when the chamber is only evaluating one sample or for use as a conventional climatic chamber.

THERMAL SHOCK TESTING OF VEHICLE ACCESS COMPONENTS. CRT2V-40/166T THERMAL SHOCK CHAMBER

 Every vehicle must withstand extreme temperature conditions, from the coldest mornings with sub-zero temperatures to the hottest parts of the day. In this case, our client, a manufacturer of advanced vehicle access, security, and control systems, was looking for a thermal shock chamber for their quality control testing.

The required specifications were:

馃憠 Thermal shock from -40°C to +200°C.
馃憠 Compliance with IEC standards.

OUR SOLUTION: Our CRT2V-40/166T thermal shock chamber. In this case, we reduced the camera height using a basket transfer system different from the traditional pneumatic piston system, which allowed us to significantly lower the overall height. The system performed exceptionally well under thermal shock, operating from -40°C to +200°C. All of this was controlled via our advanced 7” touchscreen control system and associated software.

A leading global pharmaceutical company focused on medical dermatology contacted us to request a climate chamber for stability testing. The project, initially straightforward, had a unique challenge: the installation space was difficult to access.

A vertical space was added for storing tall samples. The interior dimensions are 1240 x 585 x 960 mm (H x W x D). It features a security lock to prevent tampering and a 7” touchscreen control system with data transmission to your recording system.

HOW TO TEST CERAMIC TILES AGAINST TEMPERATURE CHANGES? AIR-WATER THERMAL SHOCK CHAMBER, CRT2V-300T

 A technology center contacted us because they needed to test ceramic tiles against sudden temperature changes according to the UNE-EN ISO 10545-9 standard, for sample validation, certification, and the development of new materials.

 Their requirements were:
馃憠 Compliance with EN ISO 10545-9.
馃憠 Capacity for large samples (650 x 650 mm).
馃憠 Precise control of all cycle variables.
馃憠 Remote PC connection.

OUR SOLUTION: Our air-water thermal shock chamber, CRT2VT-300T, a thermal shock chamber with a usable capacity of 300 liters. The system comprises two zones: a positive temperature compartment with a temperature range up to +170°C and a thermostatically controlled bath for sample immersion at +15°C, with a cooling system to chill the water and ensure maximum stability and homogeneity throughout the bath. All of this is controlled by an advanced processor for managing cycles, times, segments, transfer times, and residence times. It also includes associated software for recording all tests and generating test reports.

HOW TO SIMULATE HYGROTHERMAL BEHAVIOR IN COMPLEX BUILDING STRUCTURES AND CONNECTIONS?

Our client, an Energy and Materials in Infrastructure and Buildings research group at a European University, was looking for an environmental testing system to study and analyze building components under different environmental conditions, simulating indoor/outdoor and winter/summer environments.
 
What did they need?
馃憠 Two climatic chambers with temperature and humidity control to simulate indoor and outdoor building conditions, with the option of being walkable to introduce sensors, equipment, etc.
馃憠 A large and robust sample holder to separate chambers with different types of insulation.
馃憠 Mobility to allow for the placement of large samples between the two chambers. 
馃憠 Temperature ranges from 0°C to +50°C for indoor conditions.
馃憠 Temperature ranges from -30°C to +70°C for outdoor conditions.
馃憠 Relative humidity control in both test chambers.
馃憠 Synchronized control in both systems, managed by a central system.
 
OUR SOLUTION: The CCKMB2-0-30/15000Te dual-chamber system. An environmental simulation system built with two climatic chambers, one for outdoor conditions and one for indoor conditions, and a mobile sample holder to easily and conveniently position the building component to be tested in the middle, aligning the three systems to prevent leaks at the joints and ensure maximum airtightness. The climatic chambers have a usable volume of 15 m³, allowing easy access for personnel, samples, etc. The control is based on a dual independent system for each chamber, to be able to perform independent temperature and humidity cycles, but all managed from a general PC that can centralize both systems and perform seasonal cycles.
