CETg-60/550T, EXTERNAL THERMAL CONDITIONING SYSTEM FOR AERONAUTICAL TESTING.

Thermal testing plays a fundamental role in ensuring that components used in aeronautical programs can withstand extreme temperature variations throughout their lifecycle. At Dycometal, our climate test chambers reproduce real and extreme environmental conditions, helping manufacturers validate performance, reliability, and safety before products even take off. Because in the aerospace sector, excellence is tested long before liftoff.

Like the DYCOMETAL external conditioning system, model CETMg-60/5500T, designed to condition a 5.5 m³ space at temperatures between -60°C and +180°C. The system is designed to ensure sufficient airflow and heating/cooling capacity to condition parts weighing up to 450 kg, with a dissipation capacity of up to 7 kW. Being mobile, this system can also be used in other testing environments, from smaller to larger spaces. The entire system is controlled by our touchscreen-based control system and remote control software for monitoring and recording.

Climatic chambers for compliance with MIL-STD 810 method 521.4 icing/freezing rain

Ice formation can be one of the causes that can hinder the performance and durability of a material. This formation can affect moving parts, increase risks to personnel, cause structural failure, and more. Method 521.4 of MIL-STD 810 is used to evaluate the effect of ice on materials and systems, simulating their performance during operation when exposed to ice formation from rain, drizzle, fog, splashes, or other sources.

The CCK-T series climatic test chambers can be modified to accommodate a system that allows for this test. Depending on the sample size, the CCK-T series offers different volumes as needed. All of this is controlled by an advanced microprocessor and remote control and recording software. If you’d like more information, please don’t hesitate to contact our technical and sales department so we can advise you on the most appropriate solution for your needs.

Climatic chamber with solar simulator for testing in accordance with MIL-STD method 505.7

Method 505.7 of MIL-STD 810 is used to evaluate material that may be exposed to solar radiation during its service life. This method evaluates the effects of direct exposure to sunlight and aims to determine the heating effects of solar radiation on the material and identify the photodegradation effects of exposure to solar radiation. Exposure to solar radiation can also cause expansion and contraction of materials, generating serious stresses and loss of structural integrity, among other defects.

DYCOMETAL’s CCK/CETM series climatic chambers can be modified to comply with test method 505.7 of MIL-STD 810, among other standards.

Please consult our technical-commercial department for comprehensive advice.

MIL-STD810H method 524.1 freeze-thaw, CCK-T series climate chambers

The purpose of this freeze-thaw test method is to determine the material’s ability to withstand the effects of moisture phase changes between liquid and solid, in or on the material, as the ambient temperature passes through the freezing point and the effects of moisture induced by transfer from a cold to a warm environment or from a warm to a cold environment.

This method is applicable to materials that will be exposed to temperatures above the freezing point while wet or in the presence of moisture, to induce physical changes in the material and evaluate resistance to distortion or jamming of moving parts, failure of bonding materials, seals, etc.

This method establishes three test procedures: diurnal cycle effect, fogging, or rapid temperature change.

DYCOMETAL’s CCK-T climatic chambers are designed to accurately reproduce the most demanding environmental conditions in compliance with the requirements of MIL-STD-810H, method 524.1, guaranteeing the ability to simulate thermal cycles and environmental conditions according to the most rigorous military standards. This allows the behaviour and resistance of equipment to be verified in the face of extreme temperature variations, ensuring its performance and durability in any operating environment.

With CCK-Ts, laboratories and testing centres have a robust, accurate and compliant solution to ensure the quality and reliability of their products.

CV series, vertical freezers for testing in accordance with MIL-STD method 502.7 – low temperature

Low temperatures have adverse effects on almost all basic materials. As a result, exposing materials to low temperatures can temporarily or permanently affect their performance by altering the physical properties of their constituent materials. MIL-STD 810, in its method 502.7, establishes the test conditions for low temperatures in order to obtain data that helps evaluate the effects of low temperature conditions on the safety, integrity, and performance of the material during storage, operation, and handling of systems and components. This ensures the safety, integrity and performance of the material during storage, operation and handling for all materials that are exposed to a low-temperature environment during their life cycle.

DYCOMETAL upright freezer cabinets have temperature ranges down to -70ºC, with different volume capacities and internal dimensions. Manufactured from robust materials, they allow the most demanding tests to be carried out. All this is controlled by an advanced microprocessor and associated software for recording the tests on a computer.

In addition, we offer tailor-made solutions according to customer requirements. Please consult our technical-commercial department for comprehensive advice.

CRT2V-70/540T, Thermal shock chamber for testing in accordance with MIL-STD 810 method 503.7

Thermal shock chambers are essential for testing the thermal fatigue of samples, simulating sudden changes from cold to hot temperatures in a very short period of time in order to evaluate resistance, weak points and possible subsequent failures during use. Method 503.7 of the MIL-STD 810 standard establishes the environmental conditions necessary to perform this thermal shock test according to the type of sample to be tested.

The CRT2V-70/540T chamber has been developed to comply with the MIL-STD standard according to method 503.7. With a useful basket capacity of 540 litres, it allows for the testing of both small and medium-sized parts, performing the shock between -70ºC and +250ºC in less than 10 seconds.

At DYCOMETAL, we offer tailor-made solutions designed to meet the specific needs of each sector.

Environmental solitions for STANAG 4370

STANAG 4370 is a NATO Standardisation Agreement (STANAG) that focuses on environmental testing for defence materials. This document defines common military standards between member countries. The objective is to standardise environmental testing in order to ensure interoperability between NATO member countries in the environmental management of military equipment and systems. STANAG 4370 enables international military cooperation between NATO member countries, enabling effective sharing of equipment and resources, ensuring the same performance in adverse environmental conditions, as well as ensuring their reliability.

STANAG 4370 includes the tests Environmental testing: unifying test procedures to test the performance of defence materials in different environmental conditions.

DYCOMETAL offers advanced environmental solutions for these tests, fully aligned with the requirements of STANAG 437.

EXTERNAL CONDITIONING UNIT FOR DEFENSE INDUSTRY, CETMg-60/1800T

The defense industry has always been a main reference for the development of new products. Its strict physical tests on products, materials, components, etc., have been the reference for others. They have been the reference guide for other sectors. In the case of environmental tests, they are the most demanding, given that the components must withstand the conditions of the polar cold desert, guaranteeing that the system will function correctly. The same principle must be applied to the electronic components that make up a system. In order to demonstrate their correct operation, they must be tested in extreme temperatures in order to validate their operation.

The CETMg-60/1800T generator is an external conditioning system, which, by means of a series of flexible hoses, allows remote conditioning of a test enclosure. The system can be adapted to any test chamber, thanks to its supply and return hoses, which gives it great flexibility to be able to test different types of geometric shapes, test benches or test chambers with different volumes.
