CLIMATE CHAMBER FOR TESTS ACCORDING TO ECSS-E-ST-10-03, FOR THE AEROSPACE INDUSTRY, CCK-0/480Te

 ECSS-E-ST-10-03 addresses the requirements for the verification by testing of space segment items and equipment on the ground prior to launch. The document is applicable to tests performed on qualification models, flight models (tested to acceptance level) and proto-flight models. The standard establishes in one of its requirements the environmental tests to which the elements and equipment must be subjected, among which the humidity test (Humidity Test), with temperature control between +2 ºC and +35 ºC and a humidity of 95%.

Our CCK-0/480Te chamber has been designed for specific compliance with this standard. With a high quality stainless steel interior and stainless steel exterior to withstand the extreme high humidity conditions specified by the customer. The humidification system has been developed with both conditions in mind to provide the highest stability and homogeneity inside the chamber. The system is complemented by an advanced control and recording system with remote control software.

THERMAL TEST CHAMBER TO COMBINE WITH VIBRATION SYSTEM FOR THE AERONAUTICAL SECTOR, CETM-60/150Te

 Combined chambers with vibration are very popular equipment in the aeronautical and aerospace sector. This type of equipment makes it possible to combine 2 types of tests that the samples will face: vibration and extreme temperature conditions. But the different parts that make up an aircraft or a spacecraft come in many sizes, and the simulation equipment must be adapted to the dimensions of the samples.

Our strength lies in our flexibility to adapt any of our equipment to suit the needs of our customers. In this case, we manufactured a thermal test chamber adapted to a vibration unit with a volume of 150 litres for small parts. With interior dimensions of 600 x 500 x 500 mm, interchangeable floor and structure to be positioned on lateral supports to the shaker.

AFA-400/768, AEROSPACE HIGH TEMPERATURE TEST OVEN

The aerospace industry is one of the most demanding when it comes to testing the different components to be installed in aircraft and space shuttles, this is essential to guarantee the resistance of the materials to the extreme conditions that the materials will encounter during their use. Our standard equipment can be modified to meet more demanding conditions than those offered as standard. 1055 LITER INSULATED TEST BOX (WORKSPACE) FOR EXTERNAL GENERATOR

 Sometimes our customers of external climatic conditioning systems (thermal or climatic generators) want to be able to change the test box (test enclosure) in order to be able to adapt to other types of test rigs or new samples. This is often the case in the aerospace industry, where different specimen sizes have to be tested under extreme conditions.

Our client was looking for a very versatile drawer to be combined with a new test bench, so it was completely custom-made, starting with the interior measurements: 750 x 800 x 1500 mm (Height x Width x Depth). The drawer had two doors on the wide side of the chamber for easy access to the samples, with the test stopping when the doors were opened. Both doors had tempered glass. Interior light allowed viewing of test specimens.

But what really made this test enclosure special was the removable floor made of special resin and machined in several parts to adapt the drawer as required.

This is one of the advantages of an external climatic generator, the need not to be limited to a single test enclosure.

AFA-150/11300, WALK-IN FORCED AIR HEATING OVEN

With a volume of 11,300 litres, the oven has a large volumetric capacity to condition a large number of samples in parallel. The internal dimensions: 1850 x 1700 x 3600 mm, also allow for the positioning of very tall samples. The oven has been configured with a heating gradient of 3°C/min, taking into account a full oven: 400 kg of metal, 100 kg of plastic and 20 kg of glass. A total of 520 kg, which means that the floor has been reinforced to withstand this mass. All parameters have been adjusted so that the oven has a maximum uncertainty of +/- 2 ºC, after ENAC calibration.

The oven has also been configured with two access doors, front and rear, for easier sample handling. For viewing the interior, the oven has an observation window in each door, with interior lighting. The doors have been painted in the customer’s corporate colour.

The oven has a 120 mm wall pass-through, so that probes or cables can be inserted if the customer needs them.

The interior is made of stainless steel, with rails and hooks at the top for hanging the parts to be tested.

The control by means of programming allows temperature cycles to be carried out and, thanks to the remote control and recording programme, all the test data can be stored so that reports can be made at a later date. Communication is via TCP/IP port. In addition, the system has a weekly time programmer for start-up according to the calendar.

An additional safety thermostat will ensure that the samples are not damaged (safety thermostat on sample).

The oven can be positioned in any location thanks to its wheels for easy movement.

AFA-300/80, FORCED AIR HEATING OVEN FOR AEROSPACE INDUSTRY

The aerospace industry has one of the most demanding set of tests in the market, as the materials that will be used during the development of any item or material destined to travel in space will be subjected to the most stringent environmental conditions during their use. This means that tests on existing or new materials must be extremely demanding, such as tests on extreme temperatures.

The AFA-300/80 is a forced air heating oven designed to perform high temperature tests on materials for more than 18 hours each day to demonstrate their durability at high temperatures. The control system is based on a simple regulator to set the desired working point, and the external control and recording software allows to record the test data in order to be able to make a report later on.
