In the automotive industry, quality control is not an option: it is a strategic pillar. Every motor, every coil and every electrical system must pass demanding thermal endurance and continuous operation tests to guarantee its performance in real conditions of use. In this context, we incorporated a forced air circulation cooker as a fundamental part of the thermal testing laboratory for the development and validation of induction motors.
Our model AFA-200/1200T-6 with an interior volume of 1200 usable litres is adapted to test heavy specimens up to 1100 kilos, thanks to its reinforced floor in the central position. In order to be able to load such heavy samples, the system is equipped with a rail access that allows the sample to be easily introduced by means of a trolley. The system allows for positive temperature cycling, all controlled by a 10″ touch screen. For alarm management, a GSM module is installed for alarm notification via SMS. To prevent the sample from being damaged, an independent sample safety thermostat is installed.

In order to improve the protective and durability properties of treated surfaces such as zinc or zinc-nickel, a top coat must be applied. This coating is an additional transparent or slightly tinted layer that will act as a barrier against external aggressions, thus increasing the durability of the surface treatment against degradation and oxidation even in the most hostile environments, as well as adding an aesthetic touch.
Our AFA-300/1440T-9 oven has been designed to carry out treatment cycles on a large quantity of dough (800 kg) taking into account the different dimensions of the pieces, which is why, in addition to a reinforced floor, it has 5 trays for a large quantity of dough. In order to carry out this special treatment, the oven must rapidly increase its temperature to maintain it for at least 24 hours. Its refractory steel interior and stainless steel exterior ensure the maximum resistance of the equipment to this extreme process.

Our solution, our large capacity AFAMB-80/4976 modular oven model, with a working temperature from +10 潞C to +80 潞C, and with a system that allows the energy inside the chamber to be dissipated, maintaining a constant temperature when the samples are dissipating energy. Access to the samples is through a wide door with a viewing window to see the test. With a volume of 11,300 litres, the oven has a large volumetric capacity to condition a large number of samples in parallel. The internal dimensions: 1850 x 1700 x 3600 mm, also allow for the positioning of very tall samples. The oven has been configured with a heating gradient of 3°C/min, taking into account a full oven: 400 kg of metal, 100 kg of plastic and 20 kg of glass. A total of 520 kg, which means that the floor has been reinforced to withstand this mass. All parameters have been adjusted so that the oven has a maximum uncertainty of +/- 2 潞C, after ENAC calibration.
The oven has also been configured with two access doors, front and rear, for easier sample handling. For viewing the interior, the oven has an observation window in each door, with interior lighting. The doors have been painted in the customer’s corporate colour.
The oven has a 120 mm wall pass-through, so that probes or cables can be inserted if the customer needs them.
The interior is made of stainless steel, with rails and hooks at the top for hanging the parts to be tested.
The control by means of programming allows temperature cycles to be carried out and, thanks to the remote control and recording programme, all the test data can be stored so that reports can be made at a later date. Communication is via TCP/IP port. In addition, the system has a weekly time programmer for start-up according to the calendar.
An additional safety thermostat will ensure that the samples are not damaged (safety thermostat on sample).
The oven can be positioned in any location thanks to its wheels for easy movement.
