FORCED AIR CIRCULATION OVEN FOR BURN-IN

Among the sectors with the greatest demand for forced-air heating ovens, the electronics and electrical sector stands out. In particular, the so-called BURN-IN or “infant mortality” tests for passive components, whose applications can be: accelerated manufacturing process or tests on finished or semi-finished components.

The AFA-200/1200 oven has been specifically developed for burn-in testing. Its two-door design allows access to each of the test areas and its table-top construction gives the oven an ergonomic working position.

STRESS SCREENING CHAMBER (15 K/min), FOR ELECTRONICAL COMPONENTS – AIR COOLED. MODEL, CETM-70/1000T-15

High-gradient testing, or ESS, in the development of electronic components serves to detect defective components by "stimulation", not "simulation", by overcoming the expected environmental conditions that the samples will undergo. 

The thermal test chamber model CETM-70/1000T-15, has been configured according to all the customer's needs. With a 10" touch screen control panel, it allows precise control of the temperature parameters. Due to the customer's installation, the chamber had to be air-cooled, with the cooling unit positioned at a distance of 25 metres. It also has an additional 15" control panel with integrated software for powerful analysis in the chamber itself.

STRESS SCREENING CHAMBER FOR AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY. MODEL: CCK-70/1371T-10

Current environmental tests have become increasingly demanding in the temperature gradients to which the part will be subjected. One of the most widely used tests today is the accelerated stress screening (ESS) test, during which the part to be tested is subjected to high cooling or heating gradients that can range from 5 K/min to 15 K/min.

FORCED AIR HEATING OVEN FOR HIGH TEMPERATURE TESTING. MODEL, AFA-200/1500

In the automotive, aeronautical, aerospace, etc. sectors, the conditioning of large parts under high temperature conditions must be studied. Sometimes, the products are large in size or a high weight is to be tested. It is for this reason that DYCOMETAL has developed large-sized ovens for the conditioning of large parts.

The oven, model AFA-200/1500, has been designed to easily introduce samples with large weights (>200 kg). Its vertical design allows the samples to be comfortably introduced in trolleys with all the samples, with direct access thanks to the interior guides. The equipment has a time/weekly programmer, as well as an Ethernet communication for recording the temperature values during the test.

CLIMATIC TEST CHAMBER FOR THE STUDY OF PHOTOSENSITIVE SENSORS, MODEL: CCK-40/300T

There are a considerable number of sensors for measuring all kinds of physical or chemical parameters, among which there are some sensors that can be photosensitive, where light can affect their performance. These sensors, as well as those that are not affected by light, must be subjected to climatic and thermal tests, to verify their performance under extreme conditions, but with the proviso that they must be climatic tests without the presence of light. For this purpose, the climatic chamber is built with a blind door, without a window, so that light access to the test chamber is reduced to a minimum. In addition, other parameters are taken into account to avoid possible reflections inside the chamber.

The CCK-40/300T climatic chamber has been modified to reduce the possible entry of light as much as possible, so that the sensors are not affected. It also has the capacity to control the climatic variables necessary to stress the electronic boards and photosensitive sensors.

TEMPERATURE TEST CHAMBER FOR HEAVY SAMPLES IN ELECTRONICS, MODEL: CETM-25/1296e

The electronic samples can be small microchips or large iron blocks, but the size does not matter, as they have to be tested in sub-zero and above-zero temperature conditions to verify their thermal resistance, whether they are small samples or large, heavy samples.

The design of the thermal test chamber CETM-25/1296e is based on the premise of being able to test large heavy specimens up to 750 kg. Its horizontal design allows the specimens to be loaded by means of a bridge crane, with a door large enough for the specimens to be placed safely. Its ergonomic design allows the chamber to be controlled from the side of the chamber, and the front wall pass-throughs allow access to the customer's own sampling probes to be positioned on the sample.

UNE-EN-60068-2-2, Driy Heat Test – Ovens

The objective of this test is determine the capacity of the electronic equipments to be storage or used under high temperatures.

For this purpose is used the Bd test (dry heat test for samples with low variation of temperature) recommended the standard UNE 135401-2 EX, which is found in the standard EN 60068-2-1.

The test will be done with the equipments in their máximum configuration and load in a workspace with enough dimensions to do tests. The minimum several of temperature will be 60ºC. The manufacturer could opt for certify a lower temperature, between the defined standards

The minimum exposure to a lower temperature will be 16 hours, from the stabilization of the chamber.

BURN-IN tests chambers
