CLIMATIC CHAMBR FOR CARBONATION TESTS, MODEL CCK-0/1000e

Carbonation occurs when the concrete’s own humidity reacts with atmospheric CO2, which leads to a loss of pH, oxidizing the steel and deteriorating the structure of the cement. This process occurs every day and can be accelerated under more adverse environmental conditions.

Laboratory carbonation tests consist of an accelerated test of corrosion resistance of concrete in a controlled environment in temperature and humidity. In this way, the aging of the samples over the years is simulated and the durability of these samples outdoors can be analysed.

The climatic chamber CCK-0/1000e is prepared to realize the carbonation tests. The design of the chamber has been prepared with rotating shelves to allow the perfect homogeneity of the samples against the different conditions of: temperature, humidity and CO2.

The interior of the chamber has been made in stainless steel of high resistance to the corrosion (AISI316) in order to avoid the damage of the chamber against the aggressive atmospheres that are generated inside of the chamber.

The chamber has a remote control and a paperless data recorder unit to show the evolution of the tests in temperature and humidity.

The installed CO2 analyser can detect from 0 to 20% of CO2, this range is higher than the standard percentage, so it is easy to study different conditions of carbonation.

REFRIGERATION CHAMBERS FOR CONSERVATION IN THE PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY (+ 2ºC to + 8ºC).
