CLIMATIC TEST CHAMBER FOR CARBONATION TESTS, CCK-0/300Tg

In the construction industry, reinforced concrete structures are built with conventional steel reinforcement which must be protected by a sufficient layer of concrete to guarantee the service life of the steel. Carbonation corrosion tests are used to evaluate the strength of the concrete in order to analyse the resistance capacity of the material. This type of test is carried out in a climatic chamber modified for this type of test.

Our CCK-0/300Tg has been modified to meet different carbonation standards. With an interior made of AISI316 stainless steel, it can withstand the tests over time, and the CO2 analyser will allow to control the concentration of CO2 in the environment, regulating the amount injected according to the regulations.

One of the most widely used construction materials in architectural and engineering works worldwide is concrete, whose base is cement, sand and stones (or gravel), thanks to its high malleability, great consistency, low cost and fast drying. It is also a 100% recyclable material and contributes to energy efficiency in buildings. In order to evaluate its different properties in laboratories, the specimens are subjected to different climatic tests of curing, conditioning or drying under controlled environmental conditions.

SPECIAL CLIMATIC TEST CHAMBER FOR PALEONTOLOGICAL TESTS. MODEL, CCK-25/2340MTe

Taphonomy is the part of palaeontology that studies the processes of fossilisation and the formation of fossil deposits. The aim of a test laboratory is to simulate the environmental conditions to which fossils will be subjected in nature, under controlled and repeatable conditions. This will require a very special chamber that encompasses all types of environmental tests possible in nature and anywhere in the world: temperature control, cryogenics, humidity, rain, carbonation and solar radiation.

The CCK-25/2340MTe chamber model was created with this premise in mind, the control of multiple variables existing in nature, within a medium volume and vertical chamber, in order to simulate the conditions to which the fossils will be subjected in real life. CETM-40/8502m -Temperature Test Chamber for Airbag Test

The airbag explosion tests can be carried out both inside the thermal test chamber and outside it by means of a sample extraction system, so that the explosion is carried out quickly. Both methods are accepted, but some vehicle manufacturers prefer the explosion system inside to minimize the loss of conditioning of the sample.
The test will consist of carrying out the explosions of the airbags in 3 different temperatures, after having reached stable temperature conditions for a while. These explosions will be filmed using a high-speed camera, in order to carry out a passenger safety study.

The thermal test chamber, CETM-40/8502m, is a chamber designed to perform airbag explosion tests inside the chamber itself, so that the climatic conditions with the door openings are not lost. Its large windows around the camera allow filming the explosions effectively and at different angles, making a complete study.

PRODUCT BULLETIN: CCK-25/180c, Carbonation Chamber

The carbonation is the pH loss when the atmospheric CO2 reacts with the humidity of the concrete samples, generating an acid atmosphere. This process happens all days, and affects to the reinforced concrete and induces the corrosion of the steel. The structures could suffer a serious damage.

Carbonation tests will be done in modified chambers with CO2 detector/analyzers with the possibility to detect the CO2 concentration in different range of temperature and humidity. It’s recommended manufacture the chamber with a robust stainless steel alloy because the gas of the reaction are corrosive, for example AISI 316.
