BTI-450e, WATER THERMOSTATIC BATH FOR BUILDING MATERIALS

All the materials that surround us must pass strict quality controls based on environmental tests, although at first glance we may not realize it. Such as construction materials. Did you know that concrete has strict conditions for its conservation? This test consists of storing the concrete specimens in water at a temperature of +20 ºC. This entails a high-volume, temperature-controlled bath to store the largest number of test tubes. And cooling/heating a bath with a volume of 450 liters of water requires an important technical system.

Our BTI-450e thermostic bath has been designed according to the customer’s needs. Based on a robust design with an AISI316 stainless steel interior, which allows it to withstand the test conditions over time. The exterior is made of painted AISI304 stainless steel for greater durability. To be able to place the samples, 6 independent holes are made with interior baskets for better extraction. Each basket with a capacity of 35 samples. The microprocessor-based control allows precise control of the working temperature of the bath, placing it at +20 ºC, for homogeneous sample conservation.

BTI-1518, THERMOSTATIZED IMMERSION BATH FOR CYCLIC TEMPERATURE TESTING OF TELECOMMUNICATION ELEMENTS

Environmental tests can be very diverse and can be performed in different environments depending on where the samples to be tested will be used, either in air or underwater in temperature controlled conditions. When tests are performed underwater instead of in air, temperature-controlled immersion baths are used, such as our BTI-1518 bath developed for testing fiber optic equipment and accessories.

The BTI-1518 thermostatized bath has a large volumetric capacity, 1518 liters, with dimensions of 600 x 2300 x 1100 mm (Height x Width x Depth), and allows temperature cycles between +10 ºC and +55 ºC, thanks to its heating and cooling system. Moreover, thanks to its robust construction, in addition to withstanding the weight and pressure of the water, it can test boxes weighing up to 100 kg. The advanced control system allows the test values to be recorded on an external computer for subsequent reporting.

CLIMATIC TEST CHAMBER FOR BUILDING MATERIALS, MODEL: CM-0/480

Building materials should be tested under strength conditions to demonstrate the toughness of the materials to withstand environmental conditions, but before samples are tested under strength parameters, they should be cured in a climatic chamber under controlled conditions of temperature and humidity.

Our climatic chamber model, CM-0/480, perfectly meets the purpose of most climatic tests for building materials. With simple control and robust design, it allows testing of a large number of samples at the same time.

THERMOSTATIC BATH FOR COMBAT HELMETS TESTING, MODEL: BTE-1080.

All equipment carried by a country's armed forces is subjected to the most stringent environmental testing to ensure maximum safety and protection for the soldier. One of these elements are combat helmets, which must preserve their impact resistance after undergoing a temperature-controlled immersion test in salt water, simulating sea conditions and extreme temperature and ageing conditions.

In order to verify the immersion resistance of the combat helmets, DYCOMETAL has developed the special thermostatic bath BTE-1080e which allows a complete immersion up to 1 metre deep in salt water at a given temperature. The immersion/elevation system is fully automated so that the process is controlled at all times. Its construction has been developed in stainless steel to withstand the conditions of such a demanding test.

AIR TO LIQUID THERMAL SHOCK CHAMBER ACC. WITH VW 8000 AND RENAULT 34-09-020, MODEL: CRT2V-166e

The standards VW 80000, Section K-13 "THERMAL SHOCK IMMERSION" and RENAULT 34-09-020 "AIR-LIQUID THERMAL SHOCKS", are specifically developed for electrical and electronic components, which are mounted below the wading level of the vehicle. Both standards serve to ensure the functionality in case of immediate cooling by temporary immersion of the component. The test shall consist of a homogeneous heating of the part, followed by immersion in salt water at a given concentration for a given time, with complete immersion of the specimen. After this cycle, it shall be analysed if the component has suffered any damage or if water has entered inside.

The CRT2VT-166e thermal shock chamber has not only been developed to meet all the requirements of the above test, but has also been designed to perform more stringent tests on the temperature of the immersion water and the salt water concentration, according to the customer's requirements.  Likewise, the chamber has been built in different parts, adapting to the space that the client had for it.

PRODUCT BULLETIN: THERMAL SHOCK CHAMBER AIR TO LIQUID, CRT2VT-25

The AIR to LIQUID thermal shock chamber subjects the test samples to greater stress. The chamber has a double compartment, in the upper zone the air is conditioned at a certain temperature and in the lower area there is a thermostated bath of controlled temperature, between + 2ºC and + 5ºC. The pieces will move through a basket between both compartments suffering the stress process, simulating splash conditions, dives, etc. The sample will move between both compartments to verify that it does not suffer any fracture, crack or apparent damage.

The thermal shock chamber, CRT2VT-25 has been designed for the production process (R&D), so that the most extreme conditions that the samples can supported are analysed. The samples will be tested in the hot zone and go down to the water bath, if the sample doesn’t suffer any damage, then the temperature of the heating zone will be increased and repeat again the operation until the samples suffer a damage.

PRODUCT BULLETIN: BTE-781, THERMOSTATIC BATH FOR IMMERSION TESTS IN PLASTIC COMPONENTS

Nowadays, plastic parts compose much of the things that surround us: cars, computers, etc. These pieces have to pass different quality controls in order to guarantee the durability of them.

The immersion test is used to determine the blistering density after an immersion time in deionised water at a determined temperature, as well as the residual adhesion of the coating according to the test method.

The BTE-781 is a robust equipment to develop the test according with the different car manufacturers.

BUILDING. Thermostatic Baths

Often, it is interesting to see the degree of resistance of materials to liquids such as water, oil or other substances. This type of testing is usually done at different temperatures in thermostatic baths.

The options include:

 •       Immersion baths with water
 •       Immersion baths with glycoled  water or glycol.
 •       Immersion baths with 2, 4 or 8 compartments

BUILDING. Freeze- thaw chamber

Building materials installed outdoors, must endure for years strong climate action: rain, ice, sun, wind, etc. In winter, they continue to experience large temperature changes in the day / night cycle, moisture absorption during the day and freezing at night, causing significant degradation of the material.

With freeze-thaw chambers, manufacturers of building materials can optimize their products in the laboratory, and as a result can be minimized or eliminated the damage.

Standards like: UNE-EN ISO 10545, UNE 67048, UNE 22174, etc. Are used in these elements.

BUILDING. Freeze-thaw chamber over TILES.

All products that We met at the day, must be tested against weather conditions, including elements that happen to us unnoticed as our roof shingles. These building elements have to be tested to simulated weather conditions which will face over its lifetime.

DYCOMETAL, has supplied climatic chambers for testing resistance to freeze-thaw  on tiles, as shown in the video shown below, recorded by the "MADE IN SPAIN" RTVE program.
